The Merchant Mariner Medical Exam is required for those applying for or renewing a USCG credential. This exam ensures you are medically fit to work at sea and includes:

- Cardiovascular and respiratory health screening to assess fitness for duty.
- Urinalysis and lab tests to screen for medical conditions that may affect performance.
- Physical examination to check mobility, strength, and overall health.
After passing, you’ll receive a completed CG-719K form, which is required for submission to the USCG.
